    Thank you Scott. This is what I hoped was going on with Gerald. I always knew he wasn’t the vocal type, but with the rumors flying I wondered if there wasn’t fire from all that smoke. Wish McCoy had come out with his side earlier. Go Bucs!

      Gerald , please use the glasses rule . Glasses are clear and what you think you are saying and portraying is one thing………. What the people see through those glasses may be a different story !! It’s not the message you think in your mind you want to send , it’s not what you want people to believe , it’s what people actually view and hear!! I assure you it’s different from what you think they hear and perceive. I do this , I do that , yes you are a nice guy, yes you play injured ( All The Time) but just play ball and quite running for office. You do wanna be liked, wanna be a nice guy, wanna be a community guy; then quit football and go volunteer for the boys and girls club ;donate 80 percent of your contract to the club , you will be happy , you will be liked and Jamis can get a Baller not a Politician!! Gerald you are a very talented football player but you are far more worried about yourself, being popular and being liked than making big plays!! We know this but you don’t . The fans want a Baller but many of us see a talker.Btw you have more quotes and statements than the rest of the team combined and you claim to be a quiet leader; 93 please remember the glasses rule !!

    Gerald, I most definitely can understand what you are saying and respect your answers. I do have a question for you and I hope you can answer it via Scott. Do you think you are at the correct weight at your position? You’re not as heavy as you have been in the past and it appears from this fan point of view you aren’t being double blocked as much as you use to be. Do I have this wrong?

    Scott, I never thought Gerald was jealous of Winston; quite frankly I wouldn’t care one way or the other. Gerald’s always been a team player; I think most of us Fans can see that. Go Bucs!

    Well color me as one of those people that thought McCoy was jealous. I stand corrected and am glad that McCoy came to and made a statement about this. If Scott says he sounds sincere than I’m in .

    All the discussion of pregame warmup circle talk and motivational leadership styles aside, what will it take for this defense and the players on it to stop getting molested every week? The Bucs are a team that has two histories-losing laughingstock and winning with defense. Thats it. Maybe Koetter or the next HC can forge a new path, but I think it comes down to pride on defense. Knowing your job and being accountable and keeping your teammates accountable. When that doesn’t happen, you become a losing laughingstock.

    I always thought GMC was a good player but often wished he would display more Jameis-like fire. That said, people need to be who they are and not attempt to play a role that doesn’t suit them. I applaud Gerald for reaching out to PR to set the record straight and explain the mis-perception many of us had regarding the video. He could have simply turned his back on the media or offered a Sapp-like “next question.” Thank you # 93. I feel much better knowing you and Jameis are arm in arm leading in your own ways.

    I always thought that was a silly story. No offense Scott, but you should have at least tried to contact McCoy before you published it.
    I know everybody is trying to beat the other guy when covering a Bucs story, but nothing replaces accuracy.
    One of the reasons I gravitated to this site almost exclusively now is because you don’t generally print rumors and innuendo like the guy who named his site after an ignorant plumber.
    Still a loyal fan though.

      drdneast: Well that’s insulting as heck. Plummer’s make very good money and also have a craft that is necessary in our society. Not sure how important the ability to talk like a Professor means much of anything. What’s the old saying; “Action speaks louder than words”. Go Bucs!

    SR, This is why I read PR. It is different from the other media. It is insightful, gives credit to other outlets when they break a story and you are willing to admit it when you are wrong. Most outlets would have buried a one liner on this. You wrote an entire article. Just as Licht acknowledged his free agent mistakes and corrected them, you own up to yours and make it right. I don’t always agree with you (Freeman is the best example) but I do respect you and this magazine.

    Horse, I didn’t insult all plumbers, just one in particular who got his 15 minutes of fame during the 2008 Presidential election. Unfortunately he got addicted to the fame like a Kardashian but at least he has a skill. Sorry you didn’t understand.

      For the record, I’ve gone by my name WAY before he got that moniker…and been a Bucs fan longer than that

    Scott, Thanks for putting that one to bed for us! 🙂
    I expect you to keep on trying to give us more insight in to what is going on with the Bucs. I look to PR as a significant source of insider info whenever possible. I don’t expect perfection so I am happy that you are concerned enough to apologize in public.
    Let’s move on. Go Bucs!!!

    P.S. I have been a subscriber going back to the “stone ages”, i.e., the “paper rag” days of Pewter Report. :-{)}

    LOL. Sometimes, but that is who the site is named after and I don’t like to mention it by its proper name.
