PewterReport.com is debuting a new feature we plan to run throughout the year called the Pewter Pulse. In it, publisher Scott Reynolds and editor Mark Cook, will provide a video commentary discussing a number of topics pertaining to the Buccaneers.
This week Cook and Reynolds recap the NFL Owners Meeting in Boca Raton last week, discuss the upcoming draft and debate trading quarterback Mike Glennon.
Take a look below and feel free to comment on ways to make it better, and things our readers – and now viewers – would like to see throughout the year.
Mark Cook currently is the director of editorial content and Bucs beat writer and has written for PewterReport.com since 2011. Cook has followed the Buccaneers since 1977 when he first began watching football with his Dad and is fond of the 1979 Bucs team that came within 10 points of going to a Super Bowl. His favorite Bucs game is still the 1979 divisional playoff win 24-17 over the Eagles. In his spare time Cook enjoys playing guitar, fishing, surfing and family time at the beach. In addition, Cook can be found in front of a television or in Doak Campbell any time the FSU Seminoles are playing. Cook is a native of Pinecrest in Eastern Hillsborough County and has written for numerous publications including the Tampa Tribune, In the Field and Ya'll Magazine. Cook can be reached at email@example.com
Yes, Please keep the Pewter Pulse going. I enjoy hearing your comments about the Buccaneers aw well as reading them.
I also agree that the Buccaneers are in a win-win situation with Glennon.
I would love the Buccaneers to get Rmasey. He reminds me of Rod Woodson. Go Bucs!!!
I like the set up, except I think you guys should have a couple of beers in front of you.
I think trading Mike Glennon and no#9 pick to move up Iam all for it.Go Bucs.
This is really fun, guys. Thanks for taking the time to do videos. Lots of work but very cool for your readers. Best
Man, and here I thought that only 3rd rate blog commenters were silly enough to think that Glennon is highly valued enough to be the primary asset obtained by a team trading back from a top 3 pick. What makes ANYONE think that? Scott/Mark, correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t this very outlet (PR) reported last year that the best offer for Glennon was no better than a 3rd round pick? And now, a year later, after him taking no additional snaps, teams are going to value him enough to move back from 2 to 9? This is absurd.
The Bills traded the 9th pick, their 1st rounder next year, and a 4th rounder to move up to the 4th pick in the draft to land Sammy Watkins. If we’re going to go up to get Jalen (who I also love, btw), the STARTING price might be our first, another first, Glennon, and a late rounder. Scott’s at least in the right ballpark. Mark is in some weird Nole-homerville fantasy dream world where other teams think Mike Glennon is a franchise QB.
And again, I’m a huge Jalen fan. Huge FSU fan. Doesn’t make these ideas any less ridiculous, though.
I think it’s more or less based on the QB market right now. No way does Brock deserve the money he got for starting 7 games. 7 mediocre games at that. Despite his flaws, Glennon does still have a 2 -1 TD to INT ratio and I think he would be a great fit for a team looking for a solid game manager with a really good defense. As for the Bills trade, that only worked because the Bills are idiots. haha.
What is with picking Sheldon rankins looking at game film he is a second round prospect at best so is Emmanuel ogbah
Please keep doing these…Fab 5, Mailbag and Pewter Pulse are all great!
We should trade Mike Glennon to the Broncos for their 1st round pick #31 and take either William Jackson III OR Emmanuel Ogbah ando if necessary throw in a 4th or 5th round pick
Broncos want more than that
Beers and couple cigars would make it perfect! Like the format and content. I am an FSU fan but I would stick and pick and use Glennon for an extra pick. To many needs on defense.
Enjoyed your opinions PR. Well thought out by Scott and Mark.
No trading up for a safety. Deep draft for defense, and we need all the picks we can get. Most ” experts” keep pointing to the fact we have McCoy, but fail to realize he’s all we have. Couple that with the fact he seems to get injured, or at least beat to the point of being ineffective by late season, a fresh replacement is sorely needed.
These videos are getting longer and better every week. Good job replacing the handheld microphone with the clip on mic! That was awkward looking for both of you guys! DT, DE, OT, CB, WR, K, and LB all seem to be positions of need when considering the three year plan. Take BPA. Hope Licht and the Bucs are able to select 3 solis starters out of the first 5 picks.
Love Pewter Pulse. As always Scott you are utilizing everything I taught you at Buccaneer Heaven LOL. I knew then that you would be a big success because of your knowledge and the ability to innovate. Pewter Report has gone beyond even what I thought was possible when it was Buccaneer Magazine way back when you first started under Jeff Fox. I am very proud of your success and really enjoyed our days together at Buc Heaven. Also Mark Cook is probably your greatest find. I really respect his work. Hope you are well Scott and my best to Mark.
would love ramsey, but if you are trading glennon to get to 2… you are going to have to offer our 2nd rd pick at least.
3 words. Keep them coming! Pewter Pulse is a winner. Gets to topics we all want to hear about. Scott and Mark do a great job and keep the offseason interesting.
Back to the 3 words. Keep them coming!
Why not try to give the browns mike glennon and the 9th pick for the 2nd pick and take jalen ramsey
