The 2015 NFL season is fast approaching and Buccaneer players are clearly starting to feel the energy.
While the period in between minicamp and training camp is supposed to be a time for relaxation, guys like Gerald McCoy and Jameis Winston have already started to lead offseason player-only workouts, per Joe Kania of Buccaneers.com.
McCoy took the field on Wednesday, where the All-Pro three-technique worked on pass-rush drills with a weighted jacket, while Winston headed back to his alma mater to get an early start. The latter was joined by Mike Evans and Louis Murphy, working on passing drills at Doak Campbell Stadium. Defensive lineman Will Gholston also got in on the action, retweeting a video of himself working on technique with Hall of Famer, Chris Doleman.
Players were good about using social media to spread the excitement, posting pictures, videos and even an inspirational quote in classic-McCoy fashion. Check it all out here on the team’s website.
