Week 10: Bella MedSpa Pewter Player Of The Game – LB Lavonte David
The Buccaneers lost their fifth straight game, falling to the Atlanta Falcons, 27-17. There were a few great individual performances, including rookie wide receiver Mike Evans, who caught seven passes for a career-high 125 yards with a touchdown, but the play of weakside linebacker Lavonte David continues to amaze.
David posted 14 tackles against Atlanta, which was the fourth time he has accomplished that feat this season. His 14 tackles are tied for his season-high and David now has 103 tackles on the year, which is second behind only Carolina middle linebacker Luke Kuechly. David had 145 tackles last year en route to an appearance on the NFL All-Pro team.
David is averaging 11.4 tackles per season, which puts him on pace for 182 stops this year, which would be a new personal best. For his efforts on Sunday, David is this week’s Bella MedSpa Pewter Player of the Game.

Wow fourteen tackles, who cares, we lost by ten. Pick off a friggin pass to win a game, that’s what the player of the game should do.
We get it surfer dudes, u don’t like lavonte. He is on pace to crush his tackles for a loss, solo tackles, and and total tackles. I’m this new defense he doesn’t blitz near as much. If that’s the way u feel about him we might as well have a fire sale and get rid of everyone. 1 interception for a td wouldn’t have one that game anyway. He needs help. Don’t tell me any of our other linebackers are worth a damn
chefboho; I think surferdudes is saying he didn’t do anything special. I would have selected Evans.
No I do like David. He’s a fine player, and seems to be a good person. What bothers me is P.R., and most of the local media talk him up to be more then he is, a good player on a bad team. They write about him like he’s the second coming, he’s not. Someone pointed out that this is his first year in the system, and he’s young compared to Brooks when he was playing great. Fact is, David is a four year NFL vet, this scheme is supposed to be tailor made for him, yet he can’t get to the Q.B., or please intercept a pass. I like him, I really do, he’s just not what others make him out to be.
I hear you surfer dudes. I respect everyone’s opinions on here, but considering he was ranked 35 in the top 100 as voted on by the players AND coaches don’t u think they would know more than us?
