Week 6: Pewter Player Of The Game – WR Louis Murphy
The Buccaneers offense amassed just 101 yards in the first half of Sunday’s 48-17 blowout loss at the hands of the visiting Baltimore Ravens. Looking for a silver lining in Tampa Bay’s second crushing defeat of the season, the team’s offense came to life in the second half and outscored the Ravens, 17-14.
One of the players that contributed to the Bucs’ offensive production is veteran wide receiver Louis Murphy. He caught all seven of his passes in the second half for 72 yards and caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Mike Glennon.
Sunday was the second time Murphy has had his entire production in the second half of a game. In his first game with the Buccaneers, Murphy caught six passes for 99 yards, including a key 41-yard gain, against Pittsburgh in Tampa Bay’s 24-21 come-from-behind win.
In his three games with Tampa Bay, Murphy has 16 catches for 206 yards (12.9 avg.) and two touchdowns, which is tied for the team lead with Vincent Jackson and rookie Mike Evans.

I am happy for him. That does say a lot doesn’t it? Gives us an answer or two doesn’t it as to why we are 1-5.
Unfortunely Bella MedSpa has no product for the team;-)
Murphy is a perfect example of the questionable player evaluations being made by Jason Licht. I get that Murphy was injured in the last preseason game. But there is no reason he couldn’t have made the 53 man roster instead of being released and risk losing him. He has been a bright spot since reclaiming his place on the roster. You lucked out this time Jason.
We obviously need more practice squad players starting, they appear to be better than the incumbents.
