Buccaneers 10-time Pro Bowl linebacker Derrick Brooks will host three community forums to provide information about enrollment and employment opportunities at Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School.

Student registrations and employment applications will be accepted at the community forums.

The three community forums will be held at the Hillsborough County Children’s Board on the following dates:

Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET
Saturday, March 24, 2007, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. ET
Monday, March 26, 2007, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET

Educators are encouraged to attend the community forum and apply for employment. BDCHS offers a competitive compensation plan including 401K contributions, bonuses and salaries.

Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School is scheduled to open in August 2007. It will be the only charter high school in Hillsborough County that helps high school students accellerate credit earning at the secondary level.

BDCHS will start the 2007-08 academic year with 300 students in grades 9-11. Grade 12 will be added in the second year since the school’s capacity will not exceed 500. The tentative site for the school is centrally located at 11602 No. 15th St. in Tampa.

For more information, contact BDCHS executive director/principal Dr. Phildra J. Swagger at 813-971-5600. You can also visit BDCHS.org or comment or inquire via e-mail at pswagger@bdchs.org or info@bdchs.org.
