Buccaneers 23 Â Cardinals 7
September 6, 1992
Sam Wyche began his Tampa Bay coaching career with a comfortable home win over the then-Phoenix Cardinals thanks to a ball-control offense that did not have a turnover and a stifling defense that thwarted three different opposition quarterbacks.
RB Reggie Cobb and TE Ron Hall both scored from a yard out, the latter on a touchdown pass from QB Vinny Testaverde and three K Ken Willis field goals were all the points the Buccaneers would need on the day.
Former Bucs QB Chris Chandler saw some playing time for the Cardinals in relief of QB Timm Rosenbach but neither was effective with Tampa Bay rookie DE Santana Dotson starting his bid for the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Month with a pair of sacks on his professional debut.
Rushing: Cobb 18-70, Anderson 8-41, Highsmith 5-15, Testaverde 2-2.
Passing: Testaverde 25-14-167-0-1.
Receiving: Dawsey 6-76, G.Anderson 2-31, Hall 2-16, Highsmith 2-14, Drewrey 1-21, Hawkins 1-9.

I have this game on dvd. It also has one of the strangest td runs in Tampa history, when our back leaps to go into the endzone and proceeds to fumble in mid-air right at the goal line. It took three minutes for the refs to award 6 to the home team! If Paul has this on computer, it would be an awesome replay to show
revfish, your confusing games. That game your talking about was in the 80s. this was the season opener vs Chris Chandler. Your thinking about the 1988 game where Lars Tate went over the top, rolled over, and took off running, a great bloopers clip! Paul does have the whole game, like yourself, We have amassed our collections together and now have 99% of all game.
