The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their 2006 preseason opponents and schedule on Tuesday.
The Bucs will kick off preseason against the New York Jets at Raymond James Stadium the week of August 10-14.
The week of August 17-21, Tampa Bay will host in-state rival Miami at Raymond James Stadium.
The Bucs will finish the preseason with two straight road games vs. Jacksonville and Houston, respectively. It will mark the fifth straight year that Tampa Bay plays Jacksonville and Houston in preseason.
Tampa Bay and Jacksonville will clash in front of a nationally televised audience at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 26.
The Bucs will finish the 2006 preseason the week of August 31-September 2 when they hit the road to play the Texans.
The National Football League is expected to announce the entire 2006 regular season schedule during the second week of April.
In other news, the Bucs announced Tuesday that they will conduct training camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista for the fifth consecutive year.
Training camp practices are free and open to the public.
