LAST WEEK: The Arizona Cardinals lost on the road to the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, 24-21. The Cardinals produced 317 yards of total offense against Seattle, but four sacks and two interceptions thrown by quarterback Josh McCown stalled several drives. Cards wide receiver Anquan Boldin hauled in seven passes for 107 yards and one touchdown. Rookie WR Larry Fitzgerald caught four passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Arizona’s defense allowed Seattle WR Darrell Jackson to caught six passes for 101 yards, and running back Shaun Alexander carried the ball 30 times for 154 yards (5.1 avg.) and scored three touchdowns.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, 37-20. Bucs quarterback Brian Griese completed 70 percent of his passes and tossed three touchdowns, two of which went to rookie wide receiver Michael Clayton. But he was also picked off twice and fumbled once. Tampa Bay’s defense only sacked Carolina QB Jake Delhomme one time and allowed him to throw four touchdowns. Two of those scores went to WR Mushin Muhammad.

THE LAST TIME THESE TWO TEAMS MET: September 28, 1997: Tampa Bay and Arizona last clashed eight seasons ago. The Bucs beat the Cardinals 19-18 in that contest, which was played in Tampa.

BUCS-CARDINALS SERIES: The Buccaneers are 7-7 all-time against the Cardinals, including 2-3 in games played in Arizona. The Bucs have won four of their past five contests against the Cardinals.
