With Ken Dilger, Rickey Dudley and Dave Moore no longer under contract with Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers have apparently made searching for tight ends a priority this offseason.

The Bucs have expressed interest in several free agent tight ends, including Itula Mili (Seattle), Freddie Jones (Arizona) and Anthony Becht (New York Jets), Roland Williams (Oakland) and Marcus Pollard (Indianapolis).

While Tampa Bay has only contacted the agents for Jones and Becht, it has actually scheduled a visit with Mili for sometime next week, according to the Arizona Cardinals’ team website.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Mili has started 40 of the 102 games he’s played in during his eight-year career. He’s caught 154 passes for 1,674 yards and 13 touchdowns. Mili spent Thursday visiting with Arizona and also has a visit scheduled with New Orleans.

The Bucs have also been in contact with agent Mark Bartelstein about the possibility of re-signing Dilger, who is contemplating retiring.

Two of the running backs the Bucs coveted — LaMont Jordan and Derrick Blaylock — but were not likely to afford — landed with the Raiders and Jets on Thursday.

Jordan, who had spent the past several seasons as a backup with the New York Jets, signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract with the Raiders.

Although Blaylock’s signing has not yet been made official, reports had he and the Jets close to agreeing to a contract.

Former Bucs linebacker Ian Gold signed with the Denver Broncos Thursday.

While Gold was reuniting with his former team, several former Bucs were visiting teams. Safety Dwight Smith met with the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday. Guard Cosey Coleman visited Cleveland and cornerback Mario Edwards met with the Miami Dolphins.

Former Bucs quarterback Brad Johnson is scheduled to visit Miami, Arizona, Detroit and Chicago.

Wide receiver Joe Jurevicius is still weighing his options. His former team, the New York Giants, have expressed interest in signing him.
