LAST YEAR: The Dolphins finished the 2005 regular season with a 9-7 record and in second place in the NFC East division. Despite producing a winning record and finishing the regular season with a six-game winning streak, Miami did not make the playoffs.

The Bucs produced an 11-5 regular season record en route to winning the NFC South division title and securing a spot in the playoffs.

THE LAST TIME THESE TEAMS MET:
Tampa Bay and Miami faced off during the 2005 preseason. The visiting Bucs were downed by the hometown Dolphins in that contest, 17-14. Tampa Bay and Miami met again in the regular season at Raymond James Stadium. The Bucs sent the Dolphins home with a 27-13 loss.

BUCS-DOLPHINS SERIES: Miami leads the all-time preseason series with Tampa Bay, 13-7. However, the Bucs have won three of their past four exhibition games with the Dolphins.
