LAST WEEK: The Atlanta Falcons had a bye last week.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers clashed with the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium last Sunday and defeated the Chiefs in a shootout, 34-31. Bucs running back Michael Pittman rushed 15 times for 128 yards (8.6 avg.) and a career-high three touchdowns, including one that came on a 78-yard run in the third quarter. Bucs quarterback Brian Griese threw touchdown passes to fullback Jameel Cook and tight end Ken Dilger. Safety Dwight Smith caused a fumble and intercepted a pass while S Jermaine Phillips came up with a pick of his own. Rookie defensive lineman Dewayne White’s sack late in the fourth quarter secured the win for the Bucs.

THE LAST TIME THESE TWO TEAMS MET: December 20, 2003: Tampa Bay and Atlanta clashed at Raymond James Stadium in this contest and the Falcons escaped Ray-Jay with a 30-28 win over the Buccaneers.

BUCS-FALCONS SERIES: The Buccaneers are 12-9 all-time against the Falcons, including 5-4 in games played in Atlanta.
