The Buccaneers, like all NFL teams, had to trim their roster down to 75 players by 4 p.m. today and Tampa Bay made a number of moves to comply with the deadline, including placing cornerback Danny Gorrer on injured reserve for the second straight season, and welcoming back a familiar face after claiming cornerback Marc Anthony off of waivers.
In addition the Bucs waived (injured) tackle Matt Patchan, waived tackle J.B. Shugarts and were awarded offensive lineman Jeremiah Warren off of waivers Anthony (5-11, 196) rejoins the Buccaneers from the Tennessee Titans. He spent the 2013 season on the Buccaneers’ practice squad before being waived this offseason. Warren (6-3, 325) comes to the Buccaneers from the Cleveland Browns. He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the New England Patriots in 2012, before being waived in the final roster cuts. New England then added him to the practice squad that season, before releasing him at the end of the year. After spending the 2013 offseason with the Arizona Cardinals, Warren joined the New Orleans Saints for training camp, where he was released in final roster cuts, but was added to the Browns practice squad for the 2013 season. The Buccaneers roster is now at 75 players. On Sunday the Buccaneers released 12 players including Eric Page, Tommy Streeter and 10 others.
