(On the first half)
“We didn’t have a fast start. The turnover didn’t help us any at all. You can’t give up a punt return like that. We started playing better football by the end of the half.”

Bucs head coach Lovie Smith addressed the media on Tuesday – Photo by: Cliff Welch/PR(On his feelings about the defensive stop on third-and-8 that led to the Tampa Bay offense’s score)
“Yeah, we were happy with it, but right now on the defensive side of the ball, we have to take the ball away. We’re down in takeaways right now, so that’s what we need to do [during] the second half.”

(On what has to change in the second half)
“We talk about starting fast – we didn’t do that. Defensively, we’ve got to take the ball away. We’re down. And offensively, when we get the ball back, we have to get some point on the board.”

(On what he wants to see from his starters in the second half)
“Just improvement. We might be behind during the course of the year, [so] we have to be able to come back.”

What a f—–g embarrassment. Knowing that they needed to replace 5 useless o-linemen this off season they hung their hat on drafting two rookies to shore up the line. Licht and Lovie should both turn in their resignation immediately after this game. Lovie is a glorified cheerleader and licht has no clue. I’m embarrassed to say I am from Tampa., What a bunch of clowns.

Are you serious?!?! You realize it took the Cowboys at least 3 drafts to fix their O-Line right? This draft class has the opportunity to be one of our best draft classes and you want them to quit? Give it time Rome wasn’t built in a day and changing HC’s every year or two is a recipe for disaster.

Totally disagree wkf53 with your opinion about our young OLine. If I had my way Mankins, Evan Smith wouldn’t be starting and Gilkey wouldn’t be on the team. A year from now we will all have a positive attitude about our Bucs; we will have drafted a couple DE’s and our rookie OL will be seasoned by then. Go Bucs!

Ronde just said that the Browns threw the bus at Winston and he didn’t get out of the way. However, his O line did get out of the way:)

You win in the trenches you usually when the game. This was as lopsided a beating of both our D line, and O line as I can ever remember witnessing. When Jameis had time he did well, that wasn’t very offend. We won’t when many games if we can’t protect our Q.B., and can’t get to the opposing Q.B.. What really bothered me was our complete lack of effort. We just gave the bully our lunch money without a fight. Did McCoy play? I know he did, but he was invisible tonight. If your best players don’t stand up and… Read more »

surferdudes; agree. Here I thought the weather would be a big factor and it wasn’t after all? Our team didn’t show for the game. Go Bucs! Show up next time!
