The Tampa Bay Buccaneers attempted to sneak second-year cornerback Marcus Hamilton back onto their practice squad on Tuesday, but to no avail.

Chicago claimed Hamilton off of waivers, making him a member of the Bears' active roster.

Hamilton was promoted from the practice squad to Tampa Bay's active roster last week due to rookie CB Aqib Talib's hamstring injury and CB Elbert Mack's one-game suspension.

A 2007 seventh-round draft pick, Hamilton broke up two passes in his NFL debut vs. the Bears on Sunday, which convinced Chicago to create a spot for him on its active roster.
