Last Week: The Carolina Panthers defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Charlotte last Sunday, 24-6. Despite allowing the Falcons to convert 41 percent of their third down tries, the Panthers defense sacked QB Michael Vick five times and intercepted him twice. Atlanta RB Warrick Dunn rushed 15 times for 80 yards while Vick produced 36 yards rushing on three carries. Panthers RB DeShaun Foster carried the ball 24 times for 131 yards and a touchdown while catching three passes for 49 yards and another score. Carolina WR Steve Smith caught seven passes for 65 yards and a touchdown en route to the big win.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped Baton Rouge with a 10-3 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday. Tampa Bay’s defense intercepted New Orleans QB Aaron Brooks four times, including three by CB Ronde Barber. The defense only allowed the Saints to rush for 65 yards on 27 carries. Bucs RB Cadillac Williams rushed 22 times for 96 yards while QB Chris Simms hooked up with WR Joey Galloway for a 30-yard score, which proved to be the only touchdown of the game.

Panthers: S Indrees Bashir (hamstring), WR Karl Hankton (forearm), FB Brad Hoover (ankle), LB Dan Morgan (ankle) and DE Julius Peppers (ankle) are probable. TE Michael Gaines (ankle), OL Tutan Reyes (knee) and DE Michael Rucker (ankle) are questionable.

Last Time These Two Teams Met: Tampa Bay and Carolina last clashed on Nov. 6 at Raymond James Stadium. The Panthers soundly defeated the Bucs in Tampa, 34-14.
