BUCS HEAD COACH JON GRUDEN ON THE WIN "I just can't say how proud I am of our team in all phases, really. We didn't have a lot of key guys today and there's some who needed to step up. It didn't look good for a while, but our Buc fans, I know will be excited to see this crowd next week. They have a lot of character and they proved that today."
GRUDEN ON THE NO-HUDDLE OFFENSE "We had some good things happen to us in the game offensively. We missed some opportunities and we knew we were pass protecting great. In the two-minute situation with six minutes left we knew we had four plays to get 10 yards. We were in a go-for-it mode, Brian [Griese] made some great throws and decisions."
GRUDEN ON THE PASS PROTECTION "I can't say enough about the pass protection. When you throw the ball against this team, the Chicago Bears, on the road, you don't have much time to throw it. But to throw it times and protect the way we did today was a tremendous accomplishment by the guys upfront."
GRUDEN ON THE RECEIVERS "Our receivers have come under the gun a little bit about not being up to speed with some of the others in the league, but Antonio Bryant is for real. We said he had talent and he proved that today. Jeremy Stevens is a guy who can really help us in the passing game and we are really happy to have Michael Clayton back and certainly Ike Hillard as always does some good things."
GRUDEN ON THE GAME-TYING TOUCHDOWN "It's a personal favorite of mine. We got into our three-tight end, two-back offense and we were at the one-yard line and they came into their goal-line defense. We came out with a trick shift, kicked Jeremy Stevens out late and we got the matchup we wanted and he dominated the look. It was a great throw and what a heck of a finish."
GRUDEN ON THE BEARS' PERSONAL FOUL IN OVERTIME "They shouldn't have done that. You don't tackle a guy late and do that. It was a good call."
BUCS QB BRIAN GRIESE ON HIS 67 PASS ATTEMPTS "I'm trying to make my way to the ice tub right now to be honest with you. I have never come close to attempting that many balls and hopefully I won't in the future."
GRIESE ON MINDSET OF THE TEAM AT END OF GAME "We had a great tempo in the two-minute drill at the end of the game and we felt like that was a tempo we wanted to play with and why not do it at the end of the game and overtime? It was just a mindset for us and a tempo I think worked well."
GRIESE ON PASS TO BRYANT IN OVERTIME "They were blitzing us the entire game, playing man coverage and challenging us and Antonio [Bryant] got a great release on the outside and made a great play and I just gave him the opportunity."
GRIESE ON THE WIN "It's a big win for us, obviously. I think it's important for teams to believe in each other and for us to play like this on offense and defense, it's really a team win. It allows us to believe in each other down the stretch that we can get it done."
BUCS RECEIVER ANTONIO BRYANT HIS 39-YARD OVERTIME CATCH "I guess it was us sticking in, hanging in there longer than they did and we knew it was going to be a fight, so we just had to go out there and press for energy."
BRYANT ON THE WIN "It's an NFC game and Chicago is a great, great team. They gave us a hard time and I know they felt us fighting back the whole time."
BUCS TIGHT END JERRAMY STEVENS "It was just a great win for our organization. I think this is one of those wins that gets you rolling with a whole lot of momentum in the right direction so we're just happy about this win."
STEVENS ON GAME-TYING CATCH "We are trying to get the guy in a one on one matchup and I feel like I can win that. Coach Gruden has been telling me that in one on one I have to win. It's a situation where Griese put a great ball on me and I was able to pull it in."
STEVENS ON GRIESE "I know it was huge for him to come in, back in Chicago, his former team and get it done in their house. We were behind them and it was great to see the ball in his hands and let him lead us down the field."
BUCS KICKER MATT BRYANT ON FOURTH QUARTER FIELD GOAL "If we don't make that kick then we are totally out of it. We got it in, gave our team a chance to get that touchdown and we did. The whole team played so hard today we had to make that last one."
BRYANT ON THE WIN "A win is a win. It doesn't matter if it comes at the end of the year, beginning of the year, middle of the year. We've won two in a row so it's a chance for us to build on and go into next week. This game is just as important as any other game."
