BUCS HEAD COACH JON GRUDEN ON THE SECOND HALF PASS RUSH
"Well, you know, when you are ahead two scores and get them behind and down in distance that was our goal was to stop the run, get some second and eights, second and nines and hopefully some third and longs where we can unleash a pass rush and I felt our guys got some good looks and got some things done."

GRUDEN ON GRIESE'S PLAY
"He managed the game, I thought that was good, his first start back here. He won the game as a starter, that's a great accomplishment in pro football. I thought he missed a couple of guys he normally gets, but he managed the football game, made some timely plays on third down and I'll think he will get better and better."

GRUDEN ON QB SITUATION
"Well, I'm going to talk to both guys before I say anything, I think I need to do that. I think Brian Griese is a good quarterback and I think if we can get him some help and stay away from multiple penalties I think we can play a lot better, but I'm not going to address much more than that today."

GRUDEN ON JOHN GILMORE
"I don't want John to get confused with his role here. He is an outstanding tight end and we had a play there, an all-go, where we got him down the seam and Brian did a nice job looking off the safety and it was a hell of a throw and a really nice play by John. He's a good addition to the team and some of the things he does won't show up on the stat sheet as a blocker and a special teams performer. He's going to be one tired guy tonight and I'm proud of him."

GRUDEN ON THE RUNNING GAME
"It was very sluggish early. I was very disappointed with our first six or seven carries. That has a lot to day with Atlanta's defense, [head coach] Mike Smith is a great defense coach and we didn't get much out of our first six or seven carries and we ran on first down a lot to really try and get the running game going. We made an effort to really run the ball on first down early in the game and at the end of the game Earnest Graham [scored a touchdown]. Warrick Dunn made some big plays.

GRUDEN ON DERRICK BROOKS
"No one thought he was going to play, you know what I mean? He is an iron man, one of the all-time greats and what he did today was just a perfect exclamation point to me on how tough and what kind of team guy he is."

GRUDEN ON DEFENSE MAKING BIG PLAYS
"Well, you know we are accustomed to that. We played very good on defense, got a couple early interceptions, got a turnover late in the game that really would have impacted the game. I made a big deal on scoring on defense and I think Sabby [Piscitelli] tried too hard to get more out of the play than was there in that situation but, our defense is capable of being outstanding."

GRUDEN ON GRIESE STARTING NEXT WEEK
"I foresee him being the starter, okay?. I'm just not going to say a whole lot other than I want to talk to both guys and when I do I'll feel better about it and handle it how I want to handle it.

BUCS QB BRIAN GRIESE ON THE DEFENSE HELPING THE OFFENSE
"You know, our defense is unbelievable. They're great and I love every one of those guys and they fly around and get to the ball. They're able to make plays and for us as an offense obviously it makes our job easier when you do that and we're very thankful for those guys obviously."

GRIESE ON THE RUNNING GAME
"Earnest is a great running back in my opinion and has been for quite awhile. When I was here prior and watched him in preseason and practice, he just has that power and that elusiveness that a great back needs and obviously Warrick with what he did today. There aren't many backs that can do that and I had a great shot of it from behind, he made a couple guys miss, spun out of a tackle and dove for the end zone. That's just a special player."

GRIESE ON HIS PLAY
"Well, I wanted to come out and get the win. First and foremost, that was my goal was to win the game because this was a huge game for us obviously. Second thing was I wanted to come out a knock little rust off myself and get out there and play with these guys, get a rhythm going and I think we did some good things."

GRIESE ABOUT NEXT WEEK'S GAME IN CHICAGO
"It'll be fun. I love the city of Chicago and I still have a lot of friends on that team, I'm very familiar with their defense scheme and I look forward to going back."

GRIESE ABOUT MANAGING THE GAME
"I think that is important for any quarterback in the National Football League, but you can have a great defense and a running game, but if you aren't going to make plays, you have to make plays in the passing game to win and you are going to have every opportunity to do that if you can run the football and have that balance."

GRIESE ON WHAT THE OFFENSE MUST DO
"I have to continue to make plays. Plays are there to be made and continue to make plays. We need to do that as an offense. I need to continue to lead this team and I think this is opportunities for us on offense to really set our identity and that's what I told the guys during the game and finishing ball games like we did with Earnest. I mean that's the way you want to operate as an offense. You want to have an attitude. We don't want to be second class citizens to anybody."

DE GAINES ADAMS ON THE VICTORY
"You have to give it up for the guys, the defense came out playing well, and the offense did a great job. It was an overall great performance by the whole team."

ADAMS ON FORCING TURNOVERS EARLY
"You have to say that those plays right there are huge. Coming out in the beginning of the game and establishing yourself and making good things happen is huge. You have to give it up for the defense, they came out ready to play and we knew what we had to do this game."

ADAMS ON PLAYING BOTH END SPOTS
"I play wherever the coaches tell me to be first of all; I go out and try to do my best. Right or left end it doesn't matter, my objective is to get to the quarterback and we did that today."

BUCS LB DERRICK BROOKS ON THE GAME
"I'm good at following instructions. That was our plan, to rest me during the week and let's see what God has in store for us on Sunday. If you looked at my leg on Monday, you guys would really understand that it was a miracle that I was out there playing today. It's nothing short of that in my opinion."

BROOKS ON HOW HIS HAMSTRING INJURY FEELS
"I feel a lot better then I did after last week. I don't think I did anything to hurt myself. I think I contributed when I was on the field. Obviously, I played fewer plays than I normally play, but the most important thing is God blessed me to play today. I'll get a little bit better next week and we're going to need it going up to Chicago."

BROOKS ON HOW PROUD HE IS OF THE DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE
"To a man, it's humbling. We did some things that were uncharacteristic, but we hung in there today big time. To give up the points that we gave up against the Saints and today, to see Atlanta, the type of game they had last week and to hold them to nine points, it's a tremendous effort. A lot of people contributed. I think that's what I'm most proud of when I look at us today. We got the turnovers, but more importantly, we played a lot better and a lot more people played today, which is going to help us down the line."

BROOKS ON BEING AN EXTRA COACH ON THE SIDELINE
"That's me, yelling out stuff when Geno (Hayes) and Cato (June) were in, just stuff I'm seeing from the sideline. That's more keeping me into the game too, because at any moment, I have to be ready to go for one of those guys. It's just who I am, a very humble man that doesn't care who gets the credit as long as we win."

RB WARRICK DUNN ON THE WIN
"It is just important to get a win after last week. You always want to come back and rebound from that, and we did that today. We played hard for 60 minutes and it was important. Defensively, our guys played well; they played their butts off and this is a great win for the team overall."

DUNN ON HIS TOUCHDOWN RUN
"I think it was a draw play and I pretty much just tried to make some guys miss and go to the end zone. The guys did a great job blocking, I tried to set blocks up and it was really just a great team effort."

BUCS RB EARNEST GRAHAM ON THE WIN
"It was a great victory. We weren't on all cylinders like we would have liked to have been, but it is a win and in this tough division you have to be happy with a win. I am glad that we fought down to the end and we made the plays we needed to make to win the game."

GRAHAM ON HIS 68-YARD TD RUN
"It felt good, actually I have to give credit to Warrick [Dunn] because I watched Warrick run the same play about a series earlier and I saw him cut all the way back, so I kind of had it in the back of my mind when I got the ball. I just made a cut and played football."
