The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed exclusive rights free agent guard Jeb Terry on Friday.

The 6-foot-5, 311-pound Terry originally entered the NFL in 2004 as a fifth-round pick out of North Carolina.

Terry was expected to compete for the starting right guard job last year, but he was sidelined for a significant amount of time in training camp and preseason with a knee injury, which allowed Sean Mahan to take over the spot for the entire regular season.

The Bucs expect Terry to compete with Mahan and Tonui Fonoti for the starting right guard job in 2006.

In other news, the Bucs announced Friday that Eric Vance, who played with the team from 1998-01, has been named director of player development.
