The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released tight end Billy Baber on Friday.

Baber, a third-year veteran, originally signed with the Bucs last December and played in the team’s regular season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. He caught one pass for seven yards in that contest.

The Bucs now have six tight ends — Anthony Becht, Alex Smith, Nate Lawrie, Will Heller, Robert Johnson and Dave Moore — on their roster.
