Tennessee offensive lineman Arron Sears is scheduled to meet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tuesday at One Buccaneer Place.
The 6-foot-3, 320-pound Sears is versatile enough to play guard or tackle. He received First-Team All-SEC and AP All-American Second-Team honors in 2006.
Sears could be a late first-round or early second-round selection in the 2007 NFL Draft. The Bucs already got an up-close look at Sears at the Senior Bowl in January. However, Sears played for the South team, not Jon Gruden's north squad.
Each offseason, NFL teams are allowed to bring in up to 30 collegiate players that are entering the draft. Sears is one of several players the Bucs will meet with between now and when the NFL Draft is held on April 28-29.
The following draft prospects have already met with the Buccaneers this offseason:
New Mexico LB Quincy Black
Michigan DT Alan Branch
Texas DE Tim Crowder
Hampton LB Justin Durant
Kansas State WR Yamon Figurs
Portland State LB Adam Hayward
Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn
LSU QB JaMarcus Russell
Kent State CB Usama Young
