The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued to tinker with their roster on Tuesday, re-signing rookie defensive end Jarriett Buie, who starred at nearby University of South Florida. Buie had been released on August 29 after joining the team as an undrafted free agent on May 4.

Tampa Bay also claimed rookie center Jonathan Compas off waivers. Compas was released by Oakland on August 31 after being signed as an undrafted free agent on May 4.

To make room for the new additions, the Bucs waived rookie cornerback Marshall McDuffie, who was signed as an undrafted free agent on April 30, and rookie guard Ryan Schmidt, who was originally signed on August 2 during training camp.
