The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signing of four participants from last week’s rookie mini-camp, including former USF receiver Andre Davis.
Joining Davis are linebacker Micah Awe, defensive tackle Travis Britz and tackle Kelby Johnson. Each player was in camp on a tryout basis.
Included in the team press release was the waiving of tight end Tim Brown, linebacker Tyson Coleman and defensive tackle Jontavius Morris.
Davis spent time on the Bucs’ practice squad last year after going undrafted in 2015. The Tampa native and Jefferson High alum played four standout years with the Bulls, setting 13 program receiving records in the process.
Awe (6-foot, 221-pounds) played his college ball at Texas Tech and ranked 13th in the nation in solo tackles per game (5.9). Britz (6-foot-4, 293-pounds) played four years at Kansas State and Johnson (6-foot-7, 301-pounds) attended Louisville.
