The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made several roster moves Friday, signing draft picks Julian Jenkins and Justin Phinisee to contracts.

Jenkins (6-3, 273), who entered the league as a fifth-round (156th overall) pick out of Stanford, is expected to compete for a position along the defensive line.

Phinisee (5-11, 200) was the first of Tampa Bay’s three seventh-round draft picks in April. He played collegiately at Oregon and will attempt to earn a roster spot as a cornerback and return specialist.

The Bucs have three of their 10 draft picks under contract and are expected to sign the rest of their rookies, including first-round guard Davin Joseph, before the team reports to training camp on July 27.

In order to create room for Jenkins and Phinisee on their offseason roster, the Bucs released rookie running back Andre Hall and safety Jahmile Addae, both of whom signed with the team as undrafted free agents in April.

Hall is a local product who played collegiately at the University of South Florida. The release of Addae could be an indication that the Bucs are attempting to sign veteran S Dwight Smith, who was released by the New Orleans Saints Thursday and played with Tampa Bay from 2001-04.
