The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traditionally waited until one week before training camp to sign their draft picks.
That hasn’t been the case with Tampa Bay’s 2007 draft class, though.
The Buccaneers signed their second 2007 NFL Draft selection Sunday, inking seventh-round pick, cornerback Marcus Hamilton, to his rookie deal.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hamilton, who was the 245th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, entered the league out of Virginia. He notched 185 tackles, 19 passes defensed, 15 interceptions, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble while playing for the Cavaliers.
The Bucs signed fourth-round draft pick, safety Tanard Jackson, on Friday evening.
With Hamilton and Jackson under contract, eight players from Tampa Bay’s 2007 draft class remain unsigned, including first-round pick Gaines Adams.
