Tampa Bay is searching for new players this offseason, and the same goes for its cheerleader squad.
The Buccaneers will hold preliminary auditions for their 2007 cheerleading squad at the University of South Florida Sun Dome on Mar. 31. The check-in time for preliminary auditions is 8:00 a.m. ET.
Hundreds of women are expected to audition, and up to 34 cheerleaders will be selected for this year’s squad.
Bucs cheerleading coordinator Sandy Charboneau is in search of beautiful and dynamic candidates that will make up one of the NFL’s best squads.
In addition to performing at Bucs home games, the cheerleaders make appearances at community and corporate functions. They may also have the opportunity represent the Buccaneers by traveling around the country and overseas.
All candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and have to be 18 years of age or older by July 1, 2007.
The Buccaneers are offering pre-audition classes on Mar. 26 and 27. The classes cost $55 and include application processing, choreography audition tips and a CD of workshop and audition music. It is not necessary to attend more than one of the two sessions being offered.
The pre-audition classes will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. ET on Mar. 26 and from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET on Mar. 27.
