The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Tuesday that they have signed Kimario McFadden and waived defensive end Lawrence Sidbury.
McFadden (5-11, 197) entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Atlanta Falcons in 2014 before spending time on the Falcons’, Buccaneers’ and Carolina Panthers’ respective practice squads. The South Carolina State product spent this past offseason with Carolina and Tampa Bay. McFadden will wear No. 33 for Tampa Bay.
Sidbury has been in the league for six seasons and spent parts of the past two with Tampa Bay after four years in Atlanta. During his time as a Buccaneer, Sidbury appeared in just one game last year.
The team also announced that it has signed defensive back Akeem Davis and defensive end Martin Ifedi to the practice squad, released wide receiver Andre Davis and placed defensive end Ronald Powell on the Practice Squad Injured Reserve List.
Akeem Davis (6-1, 200) came to the league as a college free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2014, spending the season between the team’s practice squad and active roster. He was with Washington this past offseason before being waived prior to Week 1 and joining the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad and being promoted to the active roster. Davis, who played collegiately at Memphis, will wear No. 35 for Tampa Bay.
Ifedi (6-3, 275) originally entered the league as a seventh-round draft pick (227th overall) of the St. Louis Rams in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Memphis. He spent this past offseason with Rams, before being waived prior to Week 1. He will wear No. 71 for Tampa Bay.

I give Lovie credit in trying to get his players for his scheme. Also sending a message to the bottom tier that you better step up and help or you’re gone.
We released Andre Davis? We just signed him a couple weeks ago. :/
