Buccaneers rookie running back Carnell “Cadillac” Williams practiced for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
Despite accomplishing that feat in a practice that had the players sporting pads for half of the workout, Williams is still listed as questionable on Tampa Bay’s injury report with a foot injury.
“No, nothing’s really new. He’s still questionable,” Bucs head coach Jon Gruden said of Williams. “He practiced a little bit more today. His routine is one that’s increasing and moving towards the direction we want to go, but he’s still questionable.”
In other injury-related news, Bucs cornerback Juran Bolden was added to the team’s injury report with a stomach ailment. He’s listed as probable for Sunday’s game vs. the Miami Dolphins.
“We added Juran Bolden to the injury list as probable,” Gruden said. “He’s got a stomach illness. He did not practice today as a precautionary [measure]. We think he’ll be back tomorrow.”
Tampa Bay’s starting safeties Dexter Jackson and Jermaine Phillips were both held out of practice on Thursday with their respective injuries.
Jackson has a sore hamstring and Phillips is nursing a thumb injury that required surgery last week. While Jackson is probable, Gruden said Phillips, who missed last Sunday’s game vs. the New York Jets, is “questionable at best.”
