None of the others are the playmaker Bucky is tho.

Tucker is, and has always been, the biggest home run threat out of the backfield.

Disagree but he definitely can make plays so it's splitting hairs

Bucky has that wiggle and elusiveness part to his skillset, that's unmatched by any back on our roster. It's top notch.

But, Tucker has ELITE speed, that no other back on this team has.

Unlike our other backs, once he hits 2nd gear, he's not getting run down from behind.

Both leave a lot to desire with pass blocking (Bucky might be the worst I've ever seen).

Regardless, we've got a very solid RB room that can make some noise.

Agreed. Tucker doesn't have the vision tho. Bucky and Gainwell are far better.

Only Gainwell can block with any consistency.

If Tucker has a wide open hole and doesn't have to make too many people miss, he's the back you want... But those are rare.

Bucky can turn nothing into something but he can be brought down from behind fairly easily.

I was around when the fanbase reacted after an out-of-touch Bruce Allen made the tone deaf announcement when they cut John Lynch without any fanfare - I don't think they pushed M1K3 out of town. I think he left of his own accord.

Lynch had a severe injury to his neck and the Bucs has a promising safety in Phillips in the wings training under Lynch and Dexter Jackson. Money was another motivating aspect of the release too but I think the injury is what really scared the team off of him from being a full time starter. The Broncos were willing to open the door for him as a a full starter and the rest is history.

I think that is right

The perception was that they ran him off too soon. Fans are fans. You start dismantling the team they love -- even if you should - and it becomes a problem.

It had very little to do with John Lynch’s neck injury, that’s what Allen, and Gruden used to cover their intent to cut him. The real reason he was cut was that Allen and Gruden needed the cap space.

He played in Denver from 2004 to 2007, and he made the Pro Bowl in 2007, he was also named to the Broncos Ring of Fame. His injury wasn’t an issue.

Gruden & Allen lost 5 premium draft picks and had to only rely on bringing in free agents to fill the roster and the associated cap management issues from caused major problems sustaining talent.

Licht has made mistakes, but has managed the resources and added much better talent and been more competitive with that talent, because of the good will and understanding how to build off of landing Tom Brady, the best free agent acquisition in franchise history. The team understands marketing that championship much better and is a destination for key free agents.

I will take your childish quip as the latter (as I suspected) and will reinforce the thought that you know exactly nothing about what you are blathering about. And I am not in Lakeland, thank you very much. Tampa Bay football exists outside the Tampa and surrounding areas.

Wherever you must be must be tough this time of year especially grasping with your lack of knowledge of football.

talking up Trotter in the 2nd are doing it because of their love for the Bucs

is there anyone actually doing that? It seems like it universal disappointment in advance lol

Ive posted on the "why" . . . . why they may have drafted him but because of trying to make sense of it, like most things Bucs

They clearly drafted him to piss the red board off. No real research, just a relationship between Bowles and his old man. Bottom line, this GM team isn’t getting paid enough to really put the effort into talent evaluation. Hopefully soon we will get there. But in the meantime, just another LB who can’t cover and will rack up the tackles, not really making any relevant game challenging plays…

I have sat back and watched this thread and discussion. I would like to stick my nose in the discussion on two points.

First, I have come up with one unequivocal fact. Knees, you seem to know absolutely nothing about what you are talking about in this thread. You have made such ridiculous statements as "Trotter's film looks better than JRods". Which film did you "watch". I am curious if you watched anything at all or if you are just in here saying stupid shit. It seems like the latter. Trotter's film is nowhere close to looking better than JRods......not even in the same hemisphere......and you know why? Because they are two distinctly different players. I know because I have actually watched games with both players. There is an obvious reason Rodriguez was slated to go late 1st/early 2nd and most of the draft boards that were out there had Trotter as an early 3rd with the exception of a couple that had him late 2nd. Bowles and company liked the Trotter version at LB more than the Rodriguez version at LB. It isn't any more than that and Bowles basically said that (even though I think he's a mouth-breathing idiot).

Second, Trotter is here now. He's our guy whether we want him or not. As I stated elsewhere, I hope he sets the world on fire, redefines LB'ing in the NFL and gives me a 365-day shit sandwich course meal to correct the error in my thinking. I am confident that isn't going to happen but I am going to be his loudest fan when the toe hits the leather. He is drafted, now let's see what he turns into.

Outstanding post.
