Can’t believe how bad Kaufman’s top 50 list is.
Can’t believe how bad Kaufman’s top 50 list is.
No Luke McCown or numerous other JC HOF’ers? Bad Ira.
Forget Ira what about this outrage comment from HOFer Ronde Barber
"“There’s only one at number one on my list [Ring of Honor] here,” Barber started off by saing. “I got a list, obviously; I can tell you five names like Donnie Abraham and Gerald McCoy. I played with both guys."
Barber thinks "soft" G McCoy should be in the ROH????
Donnie A is all-time Buc. Those of us who have been here for the entire shooting match know where he is in our team’s lexicon of greatness.

I don’t even have Davin in my top 50 and he has him at 37.
Davin... Joseph? Lol
That's not even the worst of it.
40. Cadillac
35. Pittman
34. Fournette
33. Donovan Smith
32. Gronk
31. Doug Martin
I don't have any of these players in my top 50.

You’ll get no disagreement from me. But I thought you were big on Joseph and Trueblood. Both were incredibly overrated by most fans.
I wouldn’t put Joseph in my top 100. Looked like Tarzan, played like Jane.

I liked the 2007 and 2008 offensive lines. I was all in.

Gronk and Playoff Lenny should be in there just for their contributions to a Superbowl.
Also, you have to remember, we are a pretty crap franchise outside of like 5 year sprints (1997-2002, 2020-2024) so would think most players from those time periods should have a shot to be in our top 50

McCoy will likely be added to the ROH eventually - might take like 15 years
he just represents a pretty good player during a crap time in the franchise history
I liked the 2007 and 2008 offensive lines. I was all in.
I though so. Yeah, you overrated Joseph, Trueblood, and Penn for years. Wifs, Goedeke, and Marpet are/were vastly superior players to those three.

Much to the chagrin of most fans, McCoy is top-20 Buccaneer.
There are only six players that have more AP All-Pro's than McCoy's 3, in Sapp, Brooks, Alstott, Barber, Lynch, & Nickerson.
There are only two players that have more Pro-Bowl's than McCoy's 6, and that's Sapp & Brooks.
McCoy is a top-10 Buccaneer if these accolades are the only factor in the discussion. But obviously these aren't the only factors, and that pushed him out of the top-10.

Who knows where Joseph belongs on the list, but he's going to be on the list, if for no other reason than just the limited Bucs history. The Bucs probably have a dozen All-Pros and maybe 30ish Pro Bowl players? In their entire history. Joseph is a two time Pro Bowler, so that one fact gets him on the list by someone like Ira.
You could argue all the negative to PB inclusion, just like David and omission, but Ira's list of Buccaneers by "production" and "impact" probably has to include a 2 time PBer, especially when their are plenty of 1 times and maybe some zeros

That's a slippery slope because then you open the door to Joe Jurevicius and Keenan McCardell.
I liked the 2007 and 2008 offensive lines. I was all in.

If you want to say I overrated Trueblood then you also have to say everyone overrated Jensen. And Penn was underrated if anything. Draft status bias.
