The Buccaneers signed seventh-round draft selection, running back Kenneth Darby, to his rookie contract on Saturday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In order to make room on their offseason roster for Darby, the Bucs had to release defensive tackle Justin Frick.

Darby, who played collegiately at Alabama, rushed for 3,324 yards, which is third all-time in Crimson Tide school history and second to only Shaun Alexander and Bobby Humphrey.

With Darby under contract, Tampa Bay has all six of its second-day draft picks under contract.

Four Bucs picks, all of which are first day selections, remain unsigned.

The Bucs hope to sign defensive end Gaines Adams (first round), guard Arron Sears (second round), safety Sabby Piscitelli (second round) and linebacker Quincy Black (third round) before they report to Celebration Hotel for training camp on July 26.
