Mark Cook

Mark Cook currently is the director of editorial content and Bucs beat writer and has written for PewterReport.com since 2011. Cook has followed the Buccaneers since 1977 when he first began watching football with his Dad and is fond of the 1979 Bucs team that came within 10 points of going to a Super Bowl. His favorite Bucs game is still the 1979 divisional playoff win 24-17 over the Eagles. In his spare time Cook enjoys playing guitar, fishing, surfing and family time at the beach. In addition, Cook can be found in front of a television or in Doak Campbell any time the FSU Seminoles are playing.     It has been very noticeable that he is getting more comfortable. The fact that he’s around the ball so much is indicative of this. Now he just needs to make some splash plays.

      How about move Barron to middle as he has no back end ball skills anyway and clearly is more comfortable near the line.

    Does anybody but me think it’s odd Lansanah playing the strong side, and not starting opening day, has more picks then David. Brooks made a living picking off, and breaking up passes in this D, but David hasn’t been near the ball when it’s in the air. Since David is calling the defense maybe he should slide over to the middle, let Lansanah play the will, move Foster to strong. At the very least move Lansanah to the middle, his coverage skills are better the Foster’s, and certainly Fletcher’s. We need picks from the WLB, and better deep middle coverage from the MLB. Brees treated our linebackers like yo yo’s last week.
