The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their inactives for Sunday’s game against Cincinnati and it’s filled with starters and key contributors.
Among those shelved are linebacker Lavonte David, center Evan Dietrich-Smith, defensive tackle Clinton McDonald and three tight ends — Brandon Myers, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Luke Stocker.
Also missing will be reserve cornerback Crezdon Butler.
Hopes were high that David would return after having to sit out his first professional game last week in Chicago, but a nagging hamstring injury will keep him out once again.
The team announced that Garrett Gilkey will start for Dietrich-Smith at center and Cameron Brate, a tight end, will get the start at fullback.
Akeem Spence gets the starting nod at defensive tackle for McDonald, starting strongside linebacker Danny Lansanah will slide to the weakside for David and Orie Lemon will fill in at strongside.
The inactives for Cincinnati are: HB Rex Burkhead, CB Chris Lewis-Harris, LB Vontaze Burfict, OT Tanner Hawkinson, OT Jamon Meredith, WR Greg Little and DE Margus Hunt.
