Pewter Report is debuting a new season-long weekend feature this week called Fifth Down, that will showcase some of the Bucs’ new players each week as the season goes along. This week’s featured player is Bucs rookie tight end/fullback Alan Cross.

Cross has already felt the full range of emotions of being an undrafted football player in the NFL. Cross initially made the Bucs’ 53-man roster following cut downs, but last Friday received the news he was being waived to make room on the active roster for an additional linebacker. Cross cleared waivers following his release and then was added back to the team’s practice squad.
PewterReport.com’s Mark Cook, who was teased by Robert Ayers, Duke Preston and George Warhop, who all asked if Cook and Cross were brothers, took a few minutes with the former Memphis walk-on long snapper to get to know his thoughts on things outside of football.
Q1. If you are sentenced on death row, and the warden asks you what your final meal is, what are you eating?
A. That’s a tough one, but I guess I am going to go with Domino’s pepperoni pizza, I lived in Memphis and I ate barbecue my whole life. No other toppings. I am a simple guy. ”
Q2. You are sitting around on a weekend with nothing to do and none of your friends will find out, what is your guilty pleasure television show?
A. “The other day I was watching, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.’ Back home whenever I would go to my girl’s place, she would be watching it, so I’d sit down and watch it. I kind of hated it at first and then it like, kind of stuck. So I’d watch that for sure.”
Q3. If you weren’t playing professional football, what sport do you think you would like to play instead?
A. “Probably baseball, maybe. I was a pretty good little catcher when I played in high school. I played in the summer league and things like that. I was a pretty good, little catcher.”
Q4. If you could date anyone, who would be your biggest celebrity dream date?
A. “Probably Pamela Anderson. The young one, or it well, might not matter, to be honest with you (laughs).”
Q5. You are driving cross country and you can only listen to one artist, who is it going to be?
A. “I would go with Michael Jackson, just any of them really, to be honest with you. I like old Michael Jackson, you know, especially when he was a kid. Jackson 5 stuff.”

Well maybe they would be the same height if Mark wore 4-6 inch heels. Couldn’t resist it Mark.
Lol, Hey I am four-foot, 20.5 inches tall.
Real insight with Alan Cross.
Last meal, Domino’s pizza? Did you know the most requested last meal is fried chicken.
Choice TV, The Kardashian’s. C’mon man
Dream date, Pam Anderson, well I can see that.
Music choice, MJ. Just beat it
For my last meal I want an whole baked Hippopotamus and a Barbequed brick of Chocolate ice cream.
Last Meal: Hot Dogs and Gravy Fries from Shorty’s in Washington, Pa.
T.V. Choice: Big Bang Theory
Dream Date: Jennifer Aniston
Artist: Rolling Stones
Are the Hot Dogs in buns, or on top off the Gravy Fries?
I have not had a good Hot Dog since leaving Motown.
Hot dog is on a fresh bun with yellow mustard, finely chopped onions and chili (no beans), It’s what the place that’s been there 80 years calls “everything”. There’s a similar place in St. Pete called Coney Island.
My last meal would have to be a Pizza King (Indiana) Royal Feast Pizza!
Dream date: Hopefully it could be a double team with Eva Longoria, and Megan Fox!
Artist: Guns N’ Roses (Original Line up)
Gee whiz. There is no accounting for taste, is there.
Food is subjective as is your taste in women, but “The Kardashian’s,” are a mirror image of what is wrong in America today.
The Kardashians….really??? Alan, if I had ever watched the Kardashians I would never admit it to anyone. Brother….you need to find yourself a man card!
