Hospitals are strained also. Per CNN, 56 ICUs are at capacity, with another 35 with just 10% open space.
It’s true ICU’s are close to capacity, but it’s not because of COVID:
It is important to note, that while cases are increasing, we are not experiencing a surge in patients who require hospitalization due to COVID-19
The beds are mostly being used for elective surgeries, which can be stopped if and when that becomes necessary. Yes, more people are getting it, but less are being hospitalized and/or dying from it. Don’t fall for the hysteria.
