I am surprised so many mention Suh. It think he plays his role well and does his job which is to basically clog up the line, prevent the run and keep OL off of second level defenders. He often takes on two OL’s, we had the best run defense in the NFL the last two years and our LB’s are known for making plays from sideline to sideline. How is Suh in this conversation?
If I recall, SMB’s plays int’s in the postseason were not because of glove coverage but more poor throws? Still, he made the plays, but I am not sure it was a sign of improvement. My evaluation is not really based on only the plays he gets beat on, but watching film and seeing how many time the other teams QB could have beat him because his coverage was not adequate. His defense terrifies me when he is locked up on a decent receiver and the receiver makes a decent cut.
