Special teams is where we can draft a player to contribute immediately. As one poster mentioned, we lost our gunner in Smith. We could easily add a CB, WR, RB, or S that doubles as either a gunner or KR/PR. There might be value in moving down 5-10 spots into the 2nd round in order to draft that player without “reaching”. If you can also add a 3rd, 4th, or 5th round pick in the process, that’s great! With no Combine this year, lots of teams are concerned with medical checks on players, so you might be able to grab a 1st round talent who slipped due to medical concerns in the 2nd or 3rd round. So, we could trade down in the first round AND use later picks to trade up into the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
