These are some guys I’d love who realistically could be there at 32:
EDGE Jayson Oweh, Penn State
EDGE Azeez Ojulari, Georgia
EDGE Joe Tryon, Washington
EDGE Payton Turner, Houston
CB Tyson Campbell, Georgia&
CB Greg Newsome, Northwestern
These are players who could step in and make plays for us this season. If we could find and develop a third edge rusher who can learn slowly from JPP and Shaq, and eventually take more snaps to keep all 3 of them fresh by the end of the season, oh boy that’s exciting.
I think the CBs I listed are big and fast, both are familiar with cover 3 and match quarters defense that we like to run, and both have the talent to start opposite Davis. You can never have too many good CBs.<br />
I’m not high on DT in the first, from what I’ve seen of Barmore I think he’s more of a day 2 pick, I think he’s a first round reach.. I like Levi Onwuzurike, but don’t think he’s a good fit for our scheme. He’s a 4-3 3-tech, don’t think he has the power to play in our scheme.
Also not a fan of going OL in round 1 unless a Tevan Jenkins falls to us. I think we should definitely look for OL depth, just not in round 1. If Creed Humphrey is falling in round 2, I’d love to move up and snag him.
