Sanders was more of a juker than a straight line sprinter. He bounced…A LOT. He had to a lot of the times.
He was timed fast. But it was at his pro day. We know how that works. Still the best back I’ve ever watched.
Side note, I was in Stillwater a quite a while ago, and I recall standing on that field and thinking, “Barry Sanders ran on this!” I told my friends and they weren’t big on football, and just blew it off. I started running around on the turf (hardest stuff I’ve ever been on)…couldn’t imagine trying to catch that dude on that fast surface.
