You can't always draft for need. BPA makes them a better team overall. Especially when you are drafting someone who is going to put points on the scoreboard. I had no problem with that pick.
The tricky thing though is that "BPA" is a darned nebulous concept. There's significant amounts of uncertainty in the evaluation process, particuarly by the time you're in the third round. I'm still not inclined to freak out over the Sims pick, but I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that the team could have taken an OG with a third round grade over a RB with a third round grade and not have been tossing the "BPA" concept out the window.
