Will any player get a second contract from the Bucs? I think there's a decent chance, no.
At this point, I don't see why Banks wouldn't. He had a fine rookie season.
I'd have to question what "fine" means. He showed his upside with some plays, but was very rookie like in general.
Player A: 3 Interceptions, 2 passes defensed, 4 TD's given up, and a 97.9 QB rating againstPlayer B: 3 Interceptions, 6 passes defensed, 7 TD's given up, and a 91.3 QB rating againstOne of these players is Johnthan Banks and the other is 2-time All-Pro Patrick Peterson. Considering this was with a Schiano/Sheridan led defense, I thought he did fine.
