If you look at how they are all structured, they are pretty much all 2-3 years of guaranteed money. This gives Lovie and Licht a chance at winning some right away while building through the draft with BPA instead of need. These guys are mostly solid stop gaps until they can cultivate their own talent and build depth.
Who has guaranteed money into their 3rd year (2016)? That is what I like most about what we are doing. I think only Johnson, McDonald, and Collins have guaranteed money even in 2015 thus far. Yeah, even Verner could be cut after 2014 for no additional cap penalties.
I feel the same way as the OP, but this is a very good point. Makes me feel better about the contracts.
