Sure, sure.  I’m definitely not saying that *some* of it doesn’t have to be real, live, gametime.  I’m just saying that I don’t feel too bad about the team deciding that Glennon hasn’t shown enough progress to draft a new QB should the opportunity present itself.  Of course, had the team won a few more games (or if they still do) and didn’t have that opportunity, I’d be all for them rolling with Glennon another year.  And even then, I really wouldn’t have a problem with them drafting that new QB but starting Glennon next year.  As you say, there are definite virtues to not throwing rookie QBs to the wolves immediately.
