I think this thread is a good reason to NOT draft him.Play him in at another position.Put weight on him.Try this, try that.Change this.IMO, if your drafting a player with the 7th pick in the draft, he should pretty much be plug and play.
Brian Urlacher says "hi".All players have to modify their play to meet the needs of the team. It isn't about making him something that he isn't. It's about maxmizing his talents. My recommendations allows for us to use his talents as a backer and a pass rusher.

Urlacher was plug and play - he basically played LB in college (Lobo-back had some safety-like coverage responsibilities), and there was no doubt that he'd be a linebacker in the pros. The only debate was inside or outside.
True, but he was put in the best position to showcase his talents and he had to fit in an NFL defense. Mack, while not the beast Urlacher was, can play backer and rush the passer from the edge. Lovie and Leslie are smart guys and I am sure they could fit Mack into their system if he were drafted.
