This point has been repeatedly made. You can franchise him for only a couple million more than his current salary. If he wants to play 2 years (this and next) on a 1-year contract, fine. Much more likely he’ll take the financial security of a long term contract.The Bucs are not strapped for cap space, they could realize those savings just by replacing Keonen with a real NFL punter.There is a 2% chance McCoy is allowed to walk.
