    And, another major is here!

Took Koepka at 10-1, Schauffele at 25-1, Finau at 30-1, Stenson at 60-1 was my bonus dark horse pick.

Love this track and look forward to some challenging conditions.

He is. Never thought of it much but PGA players really go through hot and cold streaks. Jordan Spieth was incredible, now struggling.

Maybe Rory as a second pick? Jason Day?

    Bump/hat tip for this thread.

As previously stated, I’m an avid golfer but just a casual fan when it comes to watching golf the last few years. Any predictions would be purely guess work on my part. Nevertheless, thank you for starting these threads.

    IB,

Still A LOT of golf to be played, but he’s looking like he could go 20 under before this is all said and done.

Personally, I think he’s going to put up something between 68-70 today and cool off a tad bit.

But, I’ve felt like he’s the best in the world for the last 16-18 months. And, it’s scary to think he could get better.

Wish I wouldn’t have waited to get in my bets, as he opened at 15-1 and was the 4th favorite.

Been busy the last few days working a lot and haven’t watched. Just turned in on need to figure out what I want to eat.

Top Golf tonight for my son’s 24th birthday. Last time we went he smoked my ass and I played pretty good. Hard to out drive these young bucks. LOL

    Donk;

You have enjoyed some success in picking golf tournaments for some time.

Clearly it is not a matter of luck.

You know what to look for to identify

those players who are coming into a “hot hand.”

    Good for you!

Yeah. Had a feeling he would. Damn near impossible to run at the rate he was on a course like that.

I said he’d be somewhere between 68-70, and sure enough, he posted 70.

Gave the field a chance, but nobody capitalized.

    Thanks, IB.

It ain’t over til it’s over, but this is about as cruise control as it gets.

Its insane to think, assuming he closes this out, he’ll have won 4 majors in 2 years. Even crazier, is during that span, he didn’t even play in one and had a T6 finish and a T2 finish in the others.

As far as the betting, I didn’t really start until 2017. I was able to call the Open winner. But, last year was the big one with Reed at the Masters. 50-1. Basically playing with house money for the next 10 years.

But, I’ll usually target one person who I REALLY feel is going to win it. Then I’ll look at someone who I think will be lurking over the weekend. And, you can find them in that tier of 17-1 up to 30-1. And, then, I’ll go with someone who I feel is due. Maybe they’ve played well in that tourney before. Maybe they’ve played well leading up to it. I’ll take a combination of that mixed with said player’s strengths and how it works with the particular course.

Obviously, the majority is lock. But, there are some things to look for that can help.
