Okay so I’m really missing my football right now, like most on this board. With that said I feel something special about this year. I really doubt the Bucs win the the Super Bowl heck I’m not even sure we have a staring QB. I do think with this defense under Coach Lovie and a game manager type of QB this team is good enough to make a playoff push. I guess that's the real reason why I'm excited I might be able to watch games in December and have hope. Remember in 2010 how good it felt and how even thought we all hated the Falcons we were pulling for them to beat the Saints on Monday night Football because it made our chances better at getting in the playoff, or how we all became Rex Grossman fans after we beat the Saint in the final game of the year, football might actually have meaning agin and that gets me really excited. Also hoping M.Evan and J.McCown become like R.Moss and B.Culpepper in 98 without the injury. GO BUCS.
be silly as it may seem, I look at the season like this..Defense? ..we obviously presume better from them this season. Wins they provide: 6Offense.. Are we better, and if so, how much? Well, we don't have to worry about a druggie or a rookie. We have an OC who has actually built careers for some qb's. And our rb and wr core looks pretty good. Also, any change on the OL, imo, was an improvement.Wins they might directly provide: 3-6A better staff should also net better results. Lovie actually knows the pro game very well, there won't be any of that "ojt" bullsh1t.Should provide: 4-6 wins directly.Of course, this is all measured off of last year's results, and, as always, there are negatives that also need to be factored in (sos/continuity/system/same page) as well.I think we are looking at an 8 and 8 team, with possible playoff birth IF they start out fast.
