  This may weaken the Panthers a bit, which can only help us. Hope we can keep Smith around for at least another year to build some continuity.

  That leaves the 49ers. After erring on Chip Kelly, either no candidate wants it, or their owners/GM are being very careful not to blow it again…

  Not sure why you think that. They got Wade Phillips as well. Could be a good staff. They need to get some Oline help (like most teams) to get Gurley going and give Goff a fighting chance.
