Not being negative but was this ever really a question? He signed a two year deal for a reason.

This was a question it seemed like nobody wanted to ask, and were letting the season play out for a decision, but things have gone well and there’s no reason to think another offseason and more chemistry won’t make for better results next year.

Was a two year player option.
Would it have surprised anyone if we had a bad year & brady wanted out?
Maybe due to the coaching staff?
Not I said the fly.

Yes
Brady will sign another contract here in Tampa.

Do we still want Brady? Don’t you realize that Jameis is a free agent? Rumor has it that Winston is still willing to settle for four years at $35 mil per.

Dry wit nowadays often goes unnoticed.

Brady signed a 2 year deal so this wasn’t a big surprise for me.
The real questions surround lots of other players like Gronk, AB, JPP, and Shaq.

My predictions.
Gronk stays. Why not he played 16 games for the first time in years.
AB stays. It benefits him to not be the #1 guy with all the attention that goes with it.
Godwin gets the franchise tag this year.
Shaq gone to highest bidder.
JPP stays for one more year. Some guys have to be dragged into retirement kicking and screaming, and JPP will be one of those guys.
Donovan Smith will be retained (sorry guys) although his replacement will be drafted in Round 1 or 2. -

AB to the highest bidder (for sure)
Shaq stays
JPP stays
Dsmith stays
Jensen gone
Suh gone or takes a significant price cut -
Really interested to see what happens with contracts around the league next year.
Won’t be enough money under the cap to pay everyone who is deserving.

I feel like AB will return. He has loyalty to Brady for all that Brady has done for him. Plus, he knows he will thrive in this offense and with Arians. They will find a way to work it out with very attainable bonuses. From all accounts, everyone has embraced him and he has been a model teammate. He finally feels appreciated and part of a “team”.
-
I have a feeling most will stay for next year. These guys are all near the end of their careers and we’d have a great shot to win it all with Brady back. Shaq is really the only younger player of the group on an expiring deal.
