BIG thumbs up. Getting Evans done at a reasonable number (which this absolutely is) before Beckham could set the market was essential.

Wow. This couldn’t be better news. Lock him up long term and before the other WRs inflate the market.

      Very very heartening.

Thank God Jason Licht finally accomplished something if we had let Evans out of here it would crushed this team after this upcoming season he deserved this money big time who know maybe the reason Licht hasn’t done shit so far is because he was getting this hashed out now focus on getting Poe and Trumaine Johnson in this damn house

Good job Licht on getting this done before the season started at a reasonable price. You earned it Mike!

What did he accomplish by overpaying a player that’s not helping you win this is crazy to me how fans get excited for somebody getting a rise for losing the losing mentality in full effect today Jesus Christ

Hell Yeah! this is great news. 16M a year is actually good for us. The market is just going to go up the longer we wait. Congrats Mike!

I was in the tiny minority that Bucs should be okay with letting Evans walk if he commanded a ludicrous deal. But with the current cap raise, and getting this deal done before hes a FA with Beckham inflating the market – 16.5 for 5 years.. finally something we can all be happy about. Good to know we’ll have Evans in a buc uni for many years now. Amazing thing for him.. hes gonna be under 30 after this contract.

He was already set to make 13 this year, not a overblown pay increase really. Worth every dam penny.

Best WR in franchise history. Will retire as a Buc and shatter every receiving record. Good job Licht to not prolong this.

La Canfora’s report has it being pretty front-loaded ($38.3 million guaranteed in the first two years, first three years average $18 million). That seems like a good thing from my point of view.

I don’t agree with signing receivers to big money in general. But if you’re going to, this is the right situation for it. Jameis Winston is the type of QB that needs big, skilled targets to throw to. And if you know you’re gonna keep him, go ahead and pay him before the market creeps up even more.

Licht got something right… congrats to this kid on 55 million guaranteed!

OBJ is gonna demand way more with all that drama.

All of that “We’re in no hurry talk” from Evans’ agent had me worried but that is solid.

It was a race to get this deal done before OBJ. That kid is going to cash in now, no doubt.

Anyone else notice the 555 ala VJax?

Who likes the 5s so much, Greenburg or Licht or Glazerboys? Along with Mike E and most of us!

Great deal for a great receiver. ME was the reason JFF was ever worth a shit. Inaccurate Jameis don’t mind neither. Gig em, Mike, and congrats on getting what you’ve earned, and thanks for not being primadonna greedy.

      Go Bucs!

The last time the Bucs gave a big contract to a receiver it didn’t work out so well but Mike E’s maturity is light years beyond Mike W’s. I think it will work out this time.

Well deserved contract extension for sure. Now let’s focus on eliminating those offensive pass interference penalties. 😉

He has enough money to pay off the officials now.
